Cameron D. Cannon was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Media Arts from the University of Arizona.After moving to California he worked as a Camera Technician repairing film cameras. His freelance camera career started in 2004 as a focus puller and quickly transitioned to Camera Operator and eventually Director Of Photography. Cameron has worked on numerous shoot with varying budgets ranging from commercials, short films, music videos, TV shows, industrials and features where he has become proficient in a multitude of film and video formats.
A list of the various clients he has worked for include: Warner Bros., Disney, Paramount, Turner Classic Movies, Patrick Stewart Productions, Nickelodeon, and more.
His feature Infection: The Invasion Begins won best sci-fi movie at the New York International Independent Film Festival 2009. The Last Lovecraft: Relic of Cthulhu won best feature at the HP Lovecraft Film Festival 2009 in Portland and also sold after showing at Slamdance 2010. It was the opening gala film and recently won the Silver Vision Award (Best Independent Feature Film) at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival 2010. Summer Eleven was featured as an official selection at the Heartland Film Festival in 2010.
Cameron currently lives in Burbank with his wife and two children. He is willing to travel and holds a current U. S. passport.
